Help young children identify, name, and talk about big feelings like sadness, anger, worry, and frustration.

Ensure every child can name at least 2 or 3 trusted adults at school and at home whom they can talk to when they feel upset or unsafe.

Teach students how being a good friend, including others, being kind and standing up against bullying creates a safe and supportive school community.

Teach students how to ask for help. Practice simple phrases children can use when they feel overwhelmed, such as "I need help" or "I am having a hard time."
